Pestfree Introduces Hygiene Audit and
Pest Prevention System (HAPPS™)
Pestfree Environmental Services Ltd announced
that it has launched a unique service called HYGIENE AUDIT
AND PEST PREVENTION SYSTEM (HAPPS™) aimed at the Food, Leisure and Pharmaceutical
Industries respectively.
This is the Food Safety, Food Hygiene
and Pest Control Industries’ first
complete hygiene management support program anywhere in the
world.
The system combines Hygiene Audits
with Pest Prevention Systems in a single “joined up” service
for the improvement of Food Safety and Hygiene.
According to
Pestfree’s Managing Director, Sam Osili,
the benefits of HAPPS™ which include continual compliance,
cost savings, independence and administrative convenience
demonstrate how we continue to add value to the services
we offer to the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries.
“Users of HAPPS™ receive higher quality and
more relevant inspections by our technical personnel based
on HACCP and IPM, We spend more time on the ground which
obviously is beneficial to the Client.” said Sam Osili.
HAPPS™ launch concluded the first phase of a two year
development programme by Pestfree Environmental Services
Ltd which is intended to raise the value and perception of
the services provided by the Pest Control Industry. The Company
sees HAPPS™ as the platform for Pest Management in
future.
The service is already in use at selected Pestfree’s
customers who retained the system on conclusion of the development
trials.
According to Colin Potts, Technical Manager at Premier
Foods, Bury, one of the trial sites, “HAPPS™ has provided
us with an effective but simplified tool for leveraging hygiene
improvements across our facility. We have achieved significant
and wide ranging improvements in pest management and hygiene
standards since our switch to the HAPPS™ service”.

platform. Since its inception at our site, we have seen progress
in our standards of pest management and hygiene and we are
pleased with the results” said Neil Footitt, QA Manager
at Nene Valley Foods Peterborough, another trial site.
